Happy 4th

We had a nice 4th, spent the morning around the house, at the park, and napping, then went to the Brink's house for a BBQ and fireworks in the afternoon/evening (Amber and Josh joined us too - so nice!!). We were planning on swimming but weather didn't hold up for that, we had clouds and some drizzle - but still warm. We did some really early fireworks (8pm) while it was light outside, as the kiddos needed to go to bed. But, when we got home the fireworks were going off downtown and at Oaks Bottom park, right near our house, so I took Jakob over to see them (10pm). We had a long, nice day with lots of friends - and luckily the kids both slept in today until 8am - a MIRACLE!

An attempt at getting a picture of both kids with a smile and looking at the camera!

Sarah, Dillon (8 months) and Dillon's cousin Colin (9months), enjoying some baby conversation!

Jakob and Ian, also enjoying some kind of conversation and hot dogs!

Sparklers! Apparently not as exciting for a 3 year old as you might think - I think the danger of fire has been ingrained too deep to enjoy a sparking stick!

Peter starting the fireworks show (this is a pic of the Oregon legal fireworks, the more impressive ones came later)!
